The Chapter meeting will be held in Zilina, before Czechoslovakia Section Meeting.

Real Life Experience in Power Engineering

Real Life Experience is a meeting of young professionals, undergraduate students and graduate students. The main aim is to exchange the first experiences with real world problems in power engineering.

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to our celebration of the 40th annual conference of IEEE industrial electronics society-IECON 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Throughout the past forty years, IECON has excelled in showcasing creativity, providing an ideal environment for technical exchange and networking, and most importantly emphasizing on the applied nature of the industrial electronics/informatics over a wide range of industries. Industrial electronics, as a set of enabling technologies, embodies an integral part in electrification of transportation industry, modernization of the electric power grid, integration of energy storage and renewable sources, robotics, artificial intelligence, and many other technologies whose successful implementations are crucial in moving towards energy sustainability. To address the latest achievements and breakthroughs on these topics, IECON 2014 offers a rich and comprehensive menu for professionals.

Located in the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States with a thriving high-tech economy represented by over 600 advanced technology firms, the 2014 host city, is the ideal location for IECON. Dallas is a sophisticated, fast growing metropolis that has earned its reputation in the marketplace of the world. Dallas is one flight away from the most populated corners of the globe and it is easy to reach. There are countless opportunities to explore art, sport, shopping, and dinning in Dallas which can cover a broad range of interests and backgrounds. We love to share our beautiful city and all it can offer with you and your family, so join us during IECON 2014 and help us to make IECON 2014 yet another magnificent event in terms of technical activities, social and networking opportunities and fostering new connections.

Finally, IECON 2014 has been made possible by tremendous support from our sponsors, organizing and steering committee members, and volunteers. I like to take this opportunity and extend a warm invitation to you for joining us in celebrating the 40th birthday of IECON and to allow us to show the southern hospitality to all of you.

The conference is the tenth of the series of international conferences which began in 1995 initially as a national conference with international participation. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Žilina, every two years. The purpose of the conference is to provide an international forum for researchers and professionals interested in electrical and electronic engineering, information and communication technologies as well as interdisciplinary areas with the main attention to the conference topics.

  • Information and Communication Technologies and Services
  • Mechatronics and Electronics
  • Power Electrical Systems
  • Control and Information Systems in Transport and Industry
  • Trends in Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering
  • Materials and Technologies for Electrical Engineering
APPEL 2014

The 19th International Conference on Applied Electronics is the latest regular event organized yearly
from 1996 by the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The aim is to provide a
forum for researchers and practitioners interested in advances in the wide scope of electronic circuits
and systems, especially in applications of theoretical research. The AE conferences are sponsored by
IEEE - Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE - Czechoslovakia Section.
